H.M.S. Pinafore, produced by Take Note Theatre Ltd for Tabard Theatre, is a 1940s spin on the Classic Gilbert & Sullivan Musical. The opera follows the relationship between an middle class captains daughter and a lowly sailor. My role was to source, style and alter costumes, including full naval uniforms, 1940s style dresses and custom making the costume for the Caribbean inspired Little Buttercup. The Naval uniforms were authentic 40s uniforms, including the hats which I altered with the H.M.S. Pinafore label. The production recieved multiple Fringe Theatre Awards Nominations, including a nomination for Opera - Costume.
